What To Expect From The Test

Renewing One's Certification

After one year, professional members of the OMCP must re-certify themselves to maintain their certification. PDUs are awarded to candidates who participate in trainings, events, and communities through OMCP.

PDU achievements must be verified within 90 days of certification expiration in order to count towards an extension of the certification period.

As of right now, a year's worth of PDUs is required to complete the renewal process. Verification details must be entered into the member dashboard in order to submit the PDUs earned.

- One hundred Professional Development Units (PDUs) can be earned by completing an OMCP-approved certification course.

- A total of 20 PDUs are earned by participating in OMCP-qualified websites (such as the SEOBook and Moz communities).

- As long as you attend one of the OMCP approved PDU conferences, you'll get 10 PDUs.

- There are three ways to get 30 PDUs for speaking at an OMCP PDU-Qualified conference (ClickZ Conferences; SMX; Pubcon; and MozCon):
